When configuring an AI conversation node, you’ll need to select a model that best suits your use case. Plivo offers a variety of LLM models, each designed for different types of conversations. While you’ll choose the model for the AI conversation node, LLM models are also used automatically in the background throughout the product to optimize other features based on your specific use case.

Best Practices for Choosing the Right Model
- Consider the Complexity:

- For complex conversations: Use GPT-4.1 for deeper context and reasoning.
- Response Time & Efficiency:
- Choose GPT-4.1 Mini for faster responses with lighter resource usage.
- Use GPT-4.1 or Llama 4 Maverick for high-complexity queries.
- Task Specialization:
- Llama 4 Maverick 17B is ideal for specialized domains (e.g., legal or medical).
